Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@irisartscotland.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Iris Art photography is a specialised macro technique that captures the intricate patterns, colours, and textures of the eye. The result is a highly detailed, artistic portrait of your iris — transformed into a unique piece of personalised art.

Not at all. The process is completely non‑invasive. You simply look toward the camera lens while the iris is photographed from a safe distance.

Most sessions take 5–10 minutes per person. Couples, families, and groups may take slightly longer depending on the number of irises being captured.

Yes — as long as they can comfortably look toward the camera for a few seconds. For very young children, a parent may help guide their gaze.

Blinking is completely normal. We take multiple shots and choose the sharpest, most detailed image. No bright flashes are used directly into the eye.

Yes — each iris is professionally enhanced to bring out natural detail, colour, and clarity. You can choose from styles such as Natural, Enhanced, Cosmic, Fire, Ice, plus much more.

Absolutely. We can create couple composites, family clusters, all arranged in a balanced, artistic layout.

 You can choose from:

  • High‑resolution digital files
  • Social‑media‑ready versions
  • Prints (A4, A3, A2)
  • Framed pieces
  • Acrylic, metal, or canvas finishes

All will be an additional cost.

Digital files are usually delivered within 24–48 hours. Prints and framed pieces typically take 3–7 days, depending on the finish.
